i was thinking of rating each of these books individually but then i really thought about it and fuck it， this entire series is a five stars。 im usually not attached to the main characters of books because i find most of them annoying for some odd reason， but pip doesnt do that for me。 love a smart， crime solving woman who at some point in the series， stopped giving a fuck about everything。 love， love， love ravi， and if you dont， you can get out。 the setting isnt very creepy or eerie， but follow i was thinking of rating each of these books individually but then i really thought about it and fuck it， this entire series is a five stars。 im usually not attached to the main characters of books because i find most of them annoying for some odd reason， but pip doesnt do that for me。 love a smart， crime solving woman who at some point in the series， stopped giving a fuck about everything。 love， love， love ravi， and if you dont， you can get out。 the setting isnt very creepy or eerie， but following pip and ravi through several crimes and piecing things together as you go， only for every piece of evidence to click and have that sudden revelation of figuring out the mystery is something i will never get tired of。 this series has brought me so much entertainment， i still remember how excited i was to start the first book over a year ago。 yet another book series that feeds into my mystery genre obsession。 。。。more

i was so sad at the end of the second book because of everything pip had gone through， and then at the end of the third book I still felt extremely bad for her。 i love how ravi waits years for her， and i also love pips characters changes。 she gets stronger， and learns that sometimes its best for the truth not to come out。

I liked reading this series。 I first picked it up because of the brown rep， but ending up falling for the whole series。 If you're wanting to read this just for the brown rep tbh there isn't much to find in this series but it is really enjoyable， regardless。 I just love how Holly Jackson ties all of her books together with small details， and I feel like the books could also be read as stand-alones if desired。 Another thing that really had me hooked was how Pip was thinking。 The books also showed I liked reading this series。 I first picked it up because of the brown rep， but ending up falling for the whole series。 If you're wanting to read this just for the brown rep tbh there isn't much to find in this series but it is really enjoyable， regardless。 I just love how Holly Jackson ties all of her books together with small details， and I feel like the books could also be read as stand-alones if desired。 Another thing that really had me hooked was how Pip was thinking。 The books also showed Pip's identity crisis， relationships， friendships， mental health issues and change of thinking （with the justice system， right and wrong， grey areas）， along with the plot。 SPOILER AHEAD: Just one thing that I think everyone overlooks is how Stanley was racist， I really don't think that he deserved what happened to him but it's something that bothers me for whatever reason。 BUT before you kill me for this I know he apologized and it just shows more character， as no one is perfect。 Another thing that bothers me slightly is Pip and Ravi's age gap。 Tbh I try my best to forget about it， but idk it feels kinda weird。 Still love them together tho。 。。。more
